ON MONDAY, THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCED VISA FRAUD CHARGES AGAINST SONG CHEN, A VISITING STANFORD UNIVERSITY RESEARCHER ACCUSED OF CONCEALING HER ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP IN THE CHINESE MILITARY. IN JANUARY, THE F.B.I. ANNOUNCED IT WAS SEEKING A BOSTON UNIVERSITY STUDENT, YANQING YE, WHO HAD HIDDEN HER AFFILIATION WITH THE PEOPLE’S LIBERATION ARMY WHEN APPLYING FOR A VISA. AMERICAN OFFICIALS BELIEVE MS. YE IS IN CHINA.
IN DECEMBER, THE U.S. AUTHORITIES ARRESTED A CHINESE CANCER-CELL RESEARCHER, ZAOSONG ZHENG, AT BOSTON LOGAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND CHARGED HIM WITH TRYING TO SMUGGLE 21 VIALS OF STOLEN BIOLOGICAL RESEARCH BACK TO CHINA.
IN APRIL 2019, OFFICIALS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS MD ANDERSON CANCER CENTER IN HOUSTON SAID THEY WERE INVESTIGATING SEVERAL SCIENTISTS FOR IMPROPER DISCLOSURES. THE OFFICIALS DID NOT IDENTIFY THE SCIENTISTS, TWO OF WHOM HAD RESIGNED. BUT REDACTED INVESTIGATIVE REPORTS REFERRED TO TIES TO CHINA OR CHINESE RESIDENTS OR INSTITUTIONS.
In all, eight Chinese nationals were facing federal criminal charges for concealing their links to the Chinese military. Now all those cases have been dismissed at the request of Joe Biden’s Justice Department.
Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo addressed the incredible move by the DOJ to drop the charges against 5 Chinese spies. Bartiromo started her segment today by summarizing Joe Biden’s first six months in office: “Record inflation. Crime is skyrocketing from coast to coast. After showing a clip of Joe Biden bumbling through his recent CNN town hall, she asked ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee Devin Nunes about the communist Democrat party’s agenda.
Bartiromo explained how Biden is putting our nation at risk by helping our enemies through his reckless foreign policies. “Earlier in July, Biden’s DHS threw out Trump’s crackdown on several researchers from China,” Bartiromo said, adding, ” They overturned the foreign visa investigation—no charges there.” The Fox Business host asked Nunes to share his thoughts on how Biden is handling of the CCP or Communist China Party. Nunes mocked Biden saying his new policy is “Speak really, really, loud, but carry a twig!”
“Earlier this week, we had an example where the United States, with our allies, went out and said very loudly that the Chinese Communist Party was engaged in cyber intrusions and, cyberattacks and they said, ‘Oh, bad guys!’ And meanwhile, out of nowhere, these Chinese spies, somehow that were supposed to be prosecuted, were released and they dropped the charges.”
Nunes explained how Communist Chinese President Xi is threatening India that they may cut off their water supply. “The reality is, the Chinese are on the march and the Biden administration is letting them do whatever they want,” he said.
