The New York civil trial targeting 45th President Donald Trump continues with his middle son, Eric Trump, returning to the stand.

On Thursday, he testified saying that he had never worked with the Trump Organization’s statement of financial condition and “didn’t know anything about it” up until recently.

Eric is scheduled to continue his testimony on Friday.

On the other hand, Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., took to the stand earlier this week.

On Thursday, he explained the reasons why the case was not just about solely coming after his dad. Trump Jr. claimed that it is mostly about the judicial system and how it operates in favor or against someone.

“I mean, I think it’s a truly scary precedent for New York,” he stated. “For me, for example, before even having a day in court, I’m apparently guilty of fraud for relying on my accountant to do-wait for it-accounting. I mean, think about that. What does that do for literally any other business? You pay experts millions of dollars to be experts. You sign off on what they give you and you’re liable.”

Previously, Judge Arthur Engoron refused President Trump’s call for an immediate end to the trial.

According to the 45th president, his former attorney, Michael Cohen, committed “massive perjury” when he originally testified that Trump asked him to inflate his assets.

However, Cohen later backtracked and changed his testimony to reflect that Trump did not in fact ask him to inflate any assets whatsoever.

Don Jr. said that it is clear that there is not an “equal justice system” in the present-day and that this case is a direct reflection of that.

“It’s a sad state of affairs,” the former president’s son said. “We don’t have an equal system of justice in America these days, and I thin we’re seeing that play out. The good thing is, it’s so egregious. It’s so ridiculous that I think actual hard-working Americans trying to live their American dream are starting to realize it now.”

Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka, is also set to testify next week. Judge Engoron recently came down on Ivanka and forced her to testify, despite previously being dismissed from the case.

Additionally, Trump himself is expected to testify on Monday.

The case was brought forward by New York Attorney General Letitia James. James is attempting to prevent the former president from conducting business in the Big Apple.

He has consistently criticized the case, saying that he was “found guilty before the trial even began.”
