Farewell Fauci? Majority of Americans want top doc to step aside

Agrowing number of Americans want President Biden’s chief infectious disease advisor, Dr. Anthony Fauci, to step down, according to a Hill-HarrisX survey.

The poll conducted Oct. 26-27 found that 52 percent of registered voters polled felt Fauci should resign, compared to 48 percent who said he should not.

Republicans overwhelmingly support Fauci’s ouster, while 32 percent of Democrats said he should resign, a 12 percentage point increase since the last poll.

Fauci’s standing has worsened among all voters since the summer.
