President Trump to Impose 104% Tariff on China Tonight, White House Confirms

In a stunning escalation of economic pressure, the White House has confirmed that President Donald J. Trump will impose a 104% tariff on Chinese imports, effective tonight.

The move marks the strongest trade action yet under Trump’s newly re-elected administration, sending a clear message to the Chinese Communist Party: the days of taking advantage of the United States are over.

“China messed around, and now they’re about to find out,” a senior administration official said, adding that the tariff decision comes after “repeated acts of economic hostility” by Beijing.

The tariff will apply broadly to Chinese goods and is expected to double the cost of entry for a wide range of Chinese-made products.

America First, Again

The Trump administration has consistently promised to restore fairness in trade deals and bring manufacturing back home. Today’s move is seen as a major step in that direction.

“President Trump is standing up for the American worker, full stop,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said. “We will no longer allow foreign powers to undercut our economy while sending us cheap, manipulated goods.”

Tonight’s announcement reinforces what Trump supporters have long believed: President Trump means business, and he’s unafraid to do what it takes to protect American jobs, industry, and sovereignty.
