VIDEO: NYPD Searching for Man Accused of Sexually Violating Corpse on NYC Subway

The New York Police Department is actively searching for a 51-year-old man, Carlos Garcia, who is accused of sexually violating the corpse of a homeless man inside a subway station after allegedly stealing from him.

According to investigators, Garcia is wanted on probable cause for the sexual misconduct of a deceased human body. The disturbing incident unfolded on a New York City subway platform, and police believe Garcia was not the first person to come across the man’s body. Authorities say another unidentified individual is suspected of robbing the deceased man roughly an hour before Garcia arrived.

As first reported by Gothamist, a police wanted poster alleges Garcia assaulted the body by penetrating both the mouth and anus of the deceased man. The shocking nature of the allegations has prompted swift condemnation and urgent action from law enforcement.

“This is a deeply disturbing case that reflects the absolute need for increased public safety and mental health resources,” an NYPD spokesperson said, calling the alleged crime “heinous beyond words.”

The identity of the deceased man has not yet been released. Investigators are reviewing subway surveillance footage and speaking with witnesses in an effort to track Garcia down.

Anyone with information about Carlos Garcia’s whereabouts is urged to contact the NYPD immediately.

This case has reignited debate over public safety, homelessness, and the conditions in New York’s transit system.
