Pam Bondi has officially filed major charges against Cooper Frederick, the man accused of firebombing a Tesla dealership in Loveland, Colorado, in an alleged anti-Elon Musk protest.
Frederick is now facing up to 20 years in prison as he heads to trial for what authorities are calling an act of domestic terrorism.
“I’ve made it clear—if you take part in the wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, we will find you, arrest you, and put you behind bars,” Bondi declared.
The attack, which caused significant damage to the dealership, is one of several recent targeted acts of vandalism against Tesla properties. Authorities say they are cracking down hard on such attacks to prevent further politically motivated violence.
Frederick’s trial is expected to be closely watched, as prosecutors seek severe punishment to send a clear message: violent protests will not be tolerated.
