VIDEO: Police Make Multiple Arrests after Pentagon City Mall Shut Down Amid Mass Fights

Arlington, VA – Pentagon City Mall descended into chaos as multiple fights broke out among a large crowd, forcing police to shut down the shopping center and order mass evacuations. The violent outbreak led to a heavy police response, with officers making multiple arrests in an effort to restore order.

According to the Arlington County Police Department (ACPD), authorities were called to the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street after receiving reports of escalating violence.

“At the direction of ACPD, the mall is now closed. Police remain on scene. Please avoid the area,” officials stated.

The exact number of injuries remains unclear, and authorities have yet to release details on how many individuals were taken into custody. Shoppers described frightening scenes of people running for safety as the situation spiraled out of control.

Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the cause of the violence, while the mall remains closed until further notice.
