On Thursday, the summit hosted the leaders of Iceland, Finland, Sweden, Demark and Norway.

During the speech at the Nordic Summit in Helenski, Finland, Biden seemed to forget the name of Iceland’s Prime Minister. However, Biden blamed his remarks on a Freudian slip.

“Frederiksen of Denmark and the Ministry of Dóttir of Ireland,” Biden remarked. “Dottir of Ireland! You can tell that’s a Freudian slip. I’m thinking of home, Dóttir of Iceland, and I want to say, I think we’ve had a very productive summit.”

The president, whose ancestors left Ireland more than 165 years ago, joked he made the mistake because he was thinking of home.
