House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s “White House Talking Points on Afghanistan” have been exposed to the public. It’s unknown whether or not they were intended to reach the public.
The points defend what is largely seen as a public failure for Biden with the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan.
Scott Wong of “The Hill” shared the talking points which include.
“The administration knew that there was a distinct possibility that Kabul would fall to the Taliban. It was not an inevitability. It was a possibility.”
“POTUS said in July that the Afghan military had the capability to fight the Taliban. But they had to demonstrate the will. Sadly, that will did not materialize.”

Pelosi was mocked by conservatives after claiming President Biden “is to be commended for the clarity of purpose of his statement on Afghanistan and his action.”
She then added “The Taliban must know the world is watching its actions. We are concerned about reports regarding the Taliban’s brutal treatment of all Afghans, especially women and girls.”
