Healthcare Workers Reach Tentative Deal With Kaiser Permanente After Largest Healthcare Strike in U.S. – One America News Network

With the ongoing workers strike Kaiser Permanente has finally come to a tentative deal with the coalition of unions that represent over 75,000 employees.

“The frontline healthcare workers of the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions are excited to have reached a tentative agreement with Kaiser Permanente,” the union coalition said on X. “We are thankful for the instrumental support of Acting US Labor Secretary Julie Su.”

With the tentative agreement it ends the largest-ever health care strike in United States history. 

Meanwhile, the strike only lasted three days last week which was how long it was scheduled to run. 

However, the coalition of unions threatened an eight-day strike in November with more workers walking out if a new deal was not reached by October 31st

Kaiser Permanente employees have argued about dangerous working conditions due to chronic staffing shortages and low wages. 

Additionally, the union thanked Secretary of Labor Julie Su, thanking her for her support calling it “instrumental” in striking the deal. 

Kaiser Permanente has almost 13 million members and runs 39 hospitals, as well as 622 medical offices, according to Kaiser Permanente’s website.
