Senator Dick Durbin came under fire from Senator Marsha Blackburn on Thursday for reportedly thwarting her attempt to submit a subpoena for the flight logs of sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

Blackburn accused Democrats of “hiding” something.

As the chair of the Democrat-led Senate Judiciary Committee, Durbin (D-Ill.) has authority over the panel’s subpoena power.

“@SenatorDurbin BLOCKED my request to subpoena Jeffrey Epstein’s flight logs. What are Democrats trying to hide?” Blackburn posted on X, formerly Twitter.

In early November, Blackburn made the first attempt to subpoena the flight logs, requesting further details on the individuals who took and frequented Epstein’s plane to his exclusive island and other destinations, where he provided illicit sex with minors working as prostitutes.

The aircraft was named “Lolita Express,” referencing Vladimir Nabokov’s 1955 novel “Lolita” which is about a 37-year-old man and a 12-year-old girl consumed in a pedophilic relationship. The aircraft’s name also exemplifies that Epstein and his constituents had no qualms regarding their misconduct.

The powerful, affluent individuals who paid to sexually assault minors that Epstein had under his wing, whom were trafficked across the globe, is still a mystery, even after Epstein was discovered dead in his prison cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City in August 2019.

“If you didn’t see the Judiciary Committee hearing today, this was quite a mess,” Blackburn said in a video message on Thursday.

“We were trying to get my subpoenas of Jeffrey Epstein’s flight logs… and of course, the chairman blocked it all, cut it off. That’s not how this committee is supposed to work.”

“We need to uncover the names of every individual who participated in Jeffrey Epstein’s horrific human trafficking ring. I’m calling to subpoena his flight logs,” she continued.

Although Durbin has not publicly addressed Blackburn’s criticisms, he has recently received hundreds of social media comments on his posts calling for the disclosure of Epstein’s travel logs.

“Why did Dick Durbin block Marsha Blackburn’s request to subpoena Jeffrey Epstein’s flight logs? …Because the Democrats are groomers. You know it’s true,” said conservative television host Emerald Robinson.
