More than 120 retired flag officers sign open letter warning that America ‘is in deep peril’

More than 120 retired American military officials have signed an open letter warning that America has veered left under Democratic control and that the nation’s survival is on the line.

“Under a Democrat Congress and the Current Administration, our Country has taken a hard left turn toward Socialism and a Marxist form of tyrannical government which must be countered now by electing congressional and presidential candidates who will always act to defend our Constitutional Republic. The survival of our Nation and its cherished freedoms, liberty, and historic values are at stake,” the letter states.

Some of the signers include retired Army Brigadier General Donald Bolduc, who is running to serve as a U.S. Senator from the state of New Hampshire, and retired Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin, the executive vice president of the Family Research Council.

As one of the various issues raised, the letter described China as the largest outside threat to the U.S. and called for levying sanctions and restrictions in order to defend national interests and counter China’s “world domination goal.”

The retired military officials advocated for building a border wall. “Sovereign nations must have controlled borders,” they wrote.

Regarding the Democrat-backed elections-related legislation which was approved by the House earlier this year without any GOP support, they warned that,  “H.R.1 & S.1, (if passed), would destroy election fairness and allow Democrats to forever remain in power violating our Constitution and ending our Representative Republic.”

They expressed opposition to the idea of the U.S. participating in an Iran nuclear deal and called for nixing “the corrosive infusion of Political Correctness into our military which damages morale and war fighting cohesion.”

“Our Nation is in deep peril. We are in a fight for our survival as a Constitutional Republic like no other time since our founding in 1776. The conflict is between supporters of Socialism and Marxism vs. supporters of Constitutional freedom and liberty,” they declare in the letter.
