January is human trafficking awareness and prevention month.

There are an estimated 30 million victims of human trafficking at any given time globally, according the U.S. Department of State. Many of these victims are children and sadly, trafficking often goes undetected. One woman is doing something about it. Landon Starbuck founded Freedom Forever, a non-profit dedicated to protecting children from trafficking and exploitation.
