Police Arrest Two UK TEENAGERS In Connection To TX Synagogue Hostage Investigation

On Friday, a man who claims to be the brother of ‘Lady Al Qaeda’, a high profile terrorist who is serving an 86 year prison sentence for trying to kill US military personnel, was holding four hostages in a Texas synagogue.  He posted a livestream Friday afternoon and was in a standoff with Colleyville police, who deployed a SWAT team near the synagogue.  In the livestream, he can be heard repeating that he is ‘going to die’.  Yesterday, the FBI identified the man who was shot and killed in the standoff as Malik Faisal Akram.  Now, Manchester Police have arrested two teenagers in the United Kingdom in connection with the attack.   FOX News Reports

Police in the United Kingdom have arrested two teenagers allegedly connected to the hostage-taking at a Dallas area Synagogue over the weekend.

“As part of the ongoing investigation into the attack that took place at a Synagogue in Texas on 15 January 2022, Officers from the Counter Terror Policing North West have made two arrests in relation to the incident,” the Greater Manchester Police said in a statement on Twitter Sunday.

“Two teenagers were detained in South Manchester this evening,” the statement continued. “They remain in custody for questioning.”

President Biden reacted to the incident earlier Sunday, calling it “an act of terror” while vowing that his administration would support synagogues overcome “the antisemitism that’s ramping up.”The FBI-led investigation is likely to spread across three continents as Akram arrived at the JFK International Airport in New York from the United Kingdom just weeks ago.  Akram came to the United Kingdom from Pakistan.
