Joe Biden sent 3000 U.S. troops to Kabul to evacuate embassy workers as the Taliban moved in, seizing Herat and Kandahar, Afghanistan’s 2nd and 3rd largest cities. On Friday he and Jill flew out to spend a relaxing weekend at Camp David.
Biden took no questions on Thursday as he left the White House for a quick trip to his home in Wilmington, Del., before heading to Camp David.
New York Post: White House press secretary Jen Psaki defended Biden’s weekend plans on Wednesday, telling reporters he enjoys the “beautiful scenery there.”
“He likes Camp David. It’s a place to be outside, spend time with family, and certainly has beautiful, beautiful scenery there,” she said.
Joe Biden sits alone at a conference table at Camp David. It appears that no one wants to be associated with the train-wreck that is Joe Biden’s Afghanistan troop withdrawal.
Who is the idiot that thought this was a good picture? Does he have no military advisers willing to have a picture taken with him? Does this exude American strength to anyone? It looks to me like #TeamBiden is throwing @JoeBiden #SaigonJoe overboard #Afghanistan disaster https://t.co/3PUUGQl2Pn

#SaigonJoe brings experience to the table. Not successful experience, but experience nonetheless.
Joe Biden has been in Washington for so long that as a US senator, he voted for the policies that led to the fall of Saigon. pic.twitter.com/RTXgSCZ3TK

One Twitter user nails it;
So glad he’s got the experience needed to muck it up. 3-times the charm and now he has real power.
